Magic Keyboard, Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad, Magic Mouse 2, and Magic Trackpad 2 have a built-in rechargeable battery that lets you use the devices for extended periods between charges.
You can check your device's charge level by choosing its name from the Bluetooth icon in the menu bar at the top of the screen.
When it's time to charge your device's battery, connect a Lightning to USB cable to its Lightning port, then connect the other end of the cable to your Mac or a USB power adapter.
Only compatible with Apple iMac Wireless Magic Keyboard 2nd Gen MLA22LL/ A (mode: A1644) US layout. Not fit other magic keyboards or MacBook laptops. The abundant colorful individuality design makes your Magic Keyboard lively and vibrant. After the Apple Store refused to do anything (Apple policy: within warranty: full keyboard replacement, after that nothing is possible anymore), this is a fine replacement. The down-arrow was not the cheapest, but I ordered two additional keys for another keyboard, so it was reasonable (shipping cost and shipping time to Belgium) 5 Keys.
For the fastest battery charging performance, be sure your device is switched on when connecting the Lightning to USB cable.
- Great wireless keyboard for Apple devices. This is an excellent wireless keyboard that will work on iPad Pro also. Bluetooth set up is very easy and fast. Everything works as should. I wish it had an option key to be a lighted keyboard. Also a powered indicator light would have been nice. Other than that it works as should. Still 5 stars for.

WinAppleKey enables the use of the Apple Wireless Keyboard (A1314) and the currently latest Apple Magic Keyboard (A1644) under Windows 10 (64-bit) without the need of installing any Bootcamp drivers. It is a lean piece of software that just renders the keyboard fully functional under.
Magic Keyboard, Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad, and Magic Trackpad 2 can be used while charging. Magic Mouse 2 is unavailable for use while charging.
